Black, Kent, and Apperson Family Papers
This collection contains the papers and artifacts of an interrelated family prominent in Blacksburg's history. It includes the Civil War letters of Confederate surgeon Dr. Harvey Black, the Civil War diary of hospital steward John S. Apperson, cotton books and correspondence of Germanicus Kent, nineteenth-century account books of a Blacksburg general store, 1912 European travel diary, and the political scrapbooks of State Senator and Attorney General Harvey B. Apperson.

Koontz Family Papers
This collection contains correspondence from three Confederate soldiers--brothers George and Milton Koontz and their cousin George Miller--as well as official documents, two diaries of Milton S. Koontz, George Koontz's copybook, Milton Koontz's sketchbook, a stationery box, and a pencil drawing. Materials dates from 1861 to 1865.
Meeting Minutes of the Art League of Philadelphia and Diary of Art League Member Elsa Marie Hofheinz
This collection contains a book of meeting minutes for the Art League of Philadelphia recorded primarily by secretaries Margaret Nefferdorf and Elsa Hofheinz. The collection also includes Elsa Hofheinz's diary from 1928 when she was in high school.

This collection includes a diary of a Kansas City, Kansas, housewife. She gives the weather in most entries and an account of her chores and the day's events. Entries cover March-April 1889 and August 1895-September 1898.
Frances A. Murdoch Journal
The collection contains the journal of a young woman living on a Mississippi plantation during the American Civil War, relaying descriptions of a battle between the Natchez militia and a Union gunboat, the death of Colonel Stuart Wilkins Fisk at the Battle of Murfreesboro, the plundering of Bruinsburg by Union soldiers, and other war news.
Sue R. Preston Diary
The collection contains the diary of Sue R. Preston, a young middle-class woman of Detroit, Michigan and later nurse-in-training at Sarah Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia, dated January 7, 1907 to October 13, 1907. Describes her daily activities in Detroit, including shopping, reading, watching her favorite stage personalities at the Temple Theatre, and following the famous Thaw Murder Trial. Enclosed are numerous newspaper clippings that pertain to the trial and theater gossip.
